DJ T-Wise is a native of New Jersey and a proud member of the Newark Fire / Police Department. He appreciates the creativity of the east coast music scene and thrives on its active lounge and nightlife community. At the tender age of 10, he was inspired by his mother’s love of music and started to DJ with vinyl. He was surrounded by the active club and radio scene in New Jersey and New York.
T-Wise got his love for house music when one day his uncle Charles Johnson who was the official photographer at the Zanzibar in Newark, New Jersey took him to work to hear Tony Humphries Dj, but on this particular night David Morales and Larry LeVan was hanging out with Tony. T-Wise’s Uncle had stashed him in the booth for the night where the three legendary DJ’s, talked, played, and network. It was a lesson and experience that was priceless… From that point on T-Wise started his career performing at Club Sensations, Cosmos, Club 88, Club Eclipse, Club Marlo’s, and others in New York and New Jersey. New York radio icons, WBLS and 98.7Kiss FM offered him guest DJ appearances on numerous occasions. During a brief stay in Pennsylvania he was the resident DJ on WAMO and performed at the well-known Club Metropole in Pittsburgh.
In the 90′s, DJ T-Wise expanded his career by opening Club CityLites in Paterson, New Jersey. Over nine years, he featured numerous headliners, hosted local parties and special events.
In 2011, DJ T-Wise returned to his DJ roots with “Ubiquity Soul” [meaning: ‘Music Is Everywhere Inside You’], embodies his love of house music and is a vehicle to share it with enthusiasts all over the world. Ubiquity Soul is the brand of music that embodies DJ T-Wise’s style of fusion soulful house and rhythmic beats. He believes that music inhabits everyone’s soul. His mission for Ubiquity Soul’s essence to reach far and wide deeply touching all those who experience the tapestry of it”s melodious mood.
DJ T-Wise has preformed with notable DJs such as Louie Vega, Jihad Muhammad (Bang The Drum), Stan Zeff (Tambor, Atlanta), Sres (Sankofa Soul), Gigi Testa (NEUHM, Italy), Mark Francis (Club Shelter), DJ Beloved (BPM), DJ Justice (NYC Deep), David Shaw (Kontinous Music), Kervyn Mark (The Real), Josh Milan (Honeycomb Music), Ian Friday (Libation), Tyrone Francis (Blak-n-Yello), Rob Hollywood (IKRH NYC) and Tony Touch (Funkbox NYC).
