House Music |
Records show that House Music is 40 Years Young. There are many schools of thought on this matter but here are the facts as we have researched and spoke to several House Music Pioneers. The first House Music records were recorded and sold to the public in 1983 by Jesse Saunders (Chicago) & Boyd Jarvis (New York). House Music had been playing in clubs as early as 1977 in Chicago and NY at the Ware House & The Paradise Garage. Although the first pressing that would be sold to the public was noted as 1983, The Innovative DJ’s / Producers were making their unique brand of House Tracks & Songs as early as 19777. Playing them from Reel 2 Reel and pressing Acetates for the fans.
